Our installed price for granite countertops varies based on the color, edge option, size of the project, and location of the job site. 

Color Selections
Granite and Engineered Stone are available in various colors. We show several colors on our web site. 

Templating 
We will set up an appointment to template your job after you have made a color selection and have accepted our bid.

Plywood Decking 
Decking can be done by us as part of Tear out and decking. We prefer 5/8" decking, however, we use 3/4" on Euro style cabinets that have very little space between the top of the cabinet and the top of the drawer. 

Sinks 
All cut-outs for drop in sinks and vessel sinks (overmount sink) are made on the job site. Please have the sinks at the job site at the time of installation. All undermount sinks have to be at our shop at least 3 days prior to the scheduled install date. Please request your plumbing company to ship the sink to us, or we can arrange to pick up sinks if they are available locally. All cut-outs for the undermount sinks are made in the fabrication shop. We do not make cut-outs based on templates or specification sheets.

Cook top 
Please have the cook top (including downdraft if applicable) at the job site at the time of installation.
We do not cut based on specification sheets provided by the manufacturer.

Faucet holes 
Please mark the granite for the location and number of faucet holes. Faucet holes are made on the job site. Standard faucet hole size is 1-3/8" and 2" holes for computer desks. Please let us know ahead of time if you need holes drilled for computer wiring.

Seams 
Granite slabs are produced in 8 ft lengths. However, slabs in some colors are available up to 10 ft long. Seams will be placed on long runs and are based on the size of the slabs, location of the cook top, sinks, dishwasher, and other variables. We go to great lengths to minimize the number of seams. Please discuss with our template personnel regarding seam location. 

Edges 
We offer various types of edges, you can view them on our web site under "Edge Options." We will be glad to accommodate any other type of edge option that you may need.

Payment 
A 50% payment is required at the time of confirmation of the project and the remaining balance is due upon completion. 

Sealing 
All of our Granite countertops are sealed at our factory.Engineered Stone countertops do not need to be sealed.
 

Granite is the most durable, long lasting, natural material suitable for kitchen countertops due to its hardness, heat and scratch resistances, and minimal absorption which will provide you with many years of use with very little aging in the appearance and feel of your countertops. Under normal use such as general cutting in food preparation, granite resists scratching better than any other surface. You may also place hot dishes directly out of the oven onto the countertops without the fear of damaging your granite countertops.

Natural stones have the characteristic of being porous which simply means it can be penetrated by water, oils, and chemicals; therefore granite should be sealed in order to minimize staining. Resealing your countertops is a quick and simple process and should be done annually. After the countertops are clean and dry, wipe the sealer on the surface with a cloth, allow the sealer to dry for at least 30 minutes, and you are done.

Care and maintenance of your natural stone countertops is very simple and will enhance and lengthen the life of your countertops. In addition to dusting, you should clean natural stone on a regular basis with warm water and a mild cleanser. Abrasive cleaners should not be used under any circumstances. Avoid using cleaners with ammonia, bleach, acids, or other all-purpose cleaners. Any cleaning solution made specifically for natural stone should be used. These cleansers are mild and do not contain harsh chemicals which can be damaging to natural stone over time.

The build-up of dust, dirt, and sand are abrasive to natural stone. Regularly dusting and/or mopping your natural stone areas will help prevent scratching from dirt. Placing mats at entryways will also help trap dirt and sand in high traffic areas.

It is important to clean all spills and avoid leaving unwrapped foods on granite surfaces. Using coasters under glasses, especially if they contain citrus juices or alcohol will also help with the prevention of staining. Use a paper towel to blot up spills as quickly as possible, and avoid wiping a spill since it will spread the spill. Use a soft cloth to dry the area completely. If a stain remains, it is important to determine the type of stain since different types of stains have various removal processes. The most common types of stains are organic (coffee, tea, food, cosmetics), biological (mold, fungus, mildew), metal (rust), ink (pens, magic markers), and oil (grease, cooking oil). Poultice powders can be used for the safe removal of specific stains. Poultice powders are designed to re-absorb a stain out of a stone that cannot be removed with a liquid cleaner. Follow the directions on the labels of the products you purchase for the correct usage of these cleaners. You can find these cleaning products at most home improvement stores.

Color Selections 
Granite is available in various colors. We show several colors on our web site. If we do not have a certain color slab in stock, we can refer you to a distributor that has the slabs you need.

Once you make your slab selection, at a distributor's yard, we will pick it up and inspect it further prior to fabrication. 

Templating 
We will set up an appointment to template your job after you have made a color selection and have accepted our bid. If your kitchen cabinets are straight runs with right angle turns only, we can measure them without tearing out the existing countertops. We may be able to tear out and install the new countertops within the same day based on the size of job. However, if your cabinets have varied angles at turns and shapes, we will have to tear out your existing kitchen prior to making templates. In this case, you may be without kitchen countertops for a week or two based on our schedule.
 

Demolition 
You can request us to tear out the existing countertops (Formica, Corian, Tile) and deck it with new plywood either 3/4" or 5/8" for an additional charge. We do not provide plumbing or electrical services. You are required to hire a plumber to unhook plumbing to the sink and faucets and re-install them.

We will tear out existing tile backsplash only if we are installing the full backsplash in granite slab. We do not install tile backsplashes, but we can refer you to a tile installer.
 

Plywood Decking

We may not install any plywood if there is a 3/4" unstained area on the cabinet after removing the existing countertops. Please discuss this further with your sales associate.
